For the first of our XX series of releases M5 is elated to welcome Brooklyn born House Music Legend, ANGEL MORAES!! One of the more prominent of a new wave of New York DJs and remixers to emerge in the mid-90s, Angel is also one of the most prolific. His first single, ‘Release Yourself’, was issued in 1993, and a string of club hits followed, including ‘Heaven Knows’, ‘Welcome To The Factory’ and ‘I Like It’. In the mid-90s alone he released several mixed sets for various record labels, including one on his own Hot N’ Spycy imprint. He has original works out on Cajual, Nervous and CR2 among other notable labels. He’s remixed for London Records, Subversive and Tribal Records for artists such as the Pet Shop Boys, K.D. Lang, and Funky Green Dogs. Angel was also a key element in the set up the world renowned Stereo Nightclub in Montreal, which provided the inspiration for his first album of original material, Back From Stereo.

For his release with M5, Angel has provided us with a classic example of his smooth signature sound. Massive tribal drums over exquisitely produced beat coupled with a bouncy bassline lead us up to an epic breakdown that is guaranteed to give your dance floor goose bumps!!
