Good things come to those who wait.
YEG003 is here, "Maranda EP".
This time, Nicolás Miranda delivers three shiny jewels, with all the condiments that can be expected from him: chunky beats, deep melodies, throbbing stabs and a lot of velvet.
"0311" opens the drama. A constant, back-and-forth hi-hat makes way to repetitive stabs that intensify an infectious melody. It's spastic, it's Nico's. On the remix duties, we have our very own Franco Strato and We.Rec's frontman, Fab. Franco delivers what he knows best: 4/4 in your face strong beat connection, followed by his signature bass line and claps that build and connect all the dots with a mean feeling. Fab takes a different approach and re-arranges Nico's originals beats. He adds a hypnotic top line to then finally pop THE question: Maranda, what's 0311?
"Make Me Wait" is a warm and driving magic track. It conveys an emphatic melody and candour. This is the subtle, lush part of the EP.
"Rencisound" closes the package. But we kid you not, it takes no prisoners. Miranda unleashes the fury and rides the train on this one. A throbbing bass can be heard throughout the nasty beats: it's all the kick, the clap and the hats. Big stabs complete the punchy end of the track.
