The Second EP from London based minimal label, Hossh Records.
After a stint in London, Italian Albert Ess has now established himself in Berlin with a sound that is heavily influenced by the German Capitals scene. A committed vinyl collector, Alberto can be found regularly at Weekend Club, Club Der Visionaire & King Size.
‘Illusion’ is on the heavy side of the minimal spectrum with Ess’s Techno influences clearing audible, an electro tinged atmospheric groove is met with a hard hitting bass that brings energy to this EP from the off. Hossh Label boss Ankel, fresh off the back of the imprints first release, offers up an intense, more percussive remix while ‘What If’ provides a deeper, more dubby minimal feel more suited to the early hours when the stamina crew take centre stage. Finishing off the release,’Isn’t’ channels a more down tempo, broken beat combined with those electronic grooves ever-present throughout the EP.
