Barely Legal readies the 2nd release on her fledgling label 'Pretty Weird' following a successful inauguration courtesy of Bristol's Near. Next up is a serious coup for a label in such early stages of development - a single from Manchester-based stalwart Chimpo which comes backed up with a remix from 2-step royalty Ghost.

A legend in his own right - Chimpo has collaborated with the likes of Zed-Bias, Calibre and Big Narstie across an illustrious, UK-rooted career. His work as a producer, DJ and vocalist has seen releases on Exit Records, Metalheadz and Critical and now he presents a Jungle record that acts as 'sort of a tribute' to good friend DJ Die.

Clean breaks, creeping bass tones and spectral sampling are set off to an irresistible shuffle before Ghost follows up with a typically dark and swung interpretation. Needing no introduction - Ghost is the moniker of pioneering producer El-B - a name synonymous with the development of varying forms of UK Garage, 2-step and embryonic strands of Dubstep. His revision melds bold sawtooths with LFOs and neat drum patterns that cap off a solid second instalment on Pretty Weird.
