Our next exciting release on DPE comes from Eddie Hu and it is another example of our commitment to supporting emerging talent from across the globe. Eddie Hu is a Taiwanese DJ and producer who has been delivering dance floor gems on some very well respected labels including Little Helpers, Nervous Records and Low Groove. On top of his busy release schedule he also runs the well respected Revox Records.
The first track on the EP is titled 'Bullet' and is an ultra cool Deep Tech outing that is sure to become a firm favorite on the coolest dance floors around the world. Built around a tireless, bouncing groove, the track slowly evolves with washy percussion delays, deep effected phrases and various richly timbered musical elements. Everything combines intricately across six and a half minutes of quality underground music.
Once again Eddie Hu stays true to his personal style on the second track 'Choices'. Here he develops a deep, rolling groove that is maintained throughout the record, this time built with precisely programmed tribal drums and crunchy atmospheric layers. A deep spoken word vocal enters in the break and creates a tense twist to this evolving groover.
'My Hands' is the third and final track of this stand out EP and this time Eddie Hu brings a slightly more energetic bounce to the track. While his signature groove is ever present here, this time the atmospheric deepness of the two preceding tracks is switched out for a lively groove and swinging drums which give the track a warm drive and pushing feel.
