Black Vinyl Records is an independent underground dance music label that was originally launched as the 'trax' imprint of Hott Records in East London (UK) in 1996. We became a fully independent label in 1997. The label released ground breaking singles by the likes of Kerri Chandler, Miguel Migs, Karizma, DJ Spen, DJ Chus, David Penn, Tedd Patterson, Paulo Rocha, Milton Jackson, Rasmus Faber, Groove Assassins, Tarot & marbach, King DK, Shero and many many more. Our back catalogue speaks for itself. We made names and set standards. And the story continues. In 2011, after a three year break, we continued with releases from DJ Ermi, Masahiro Suzuki, Trio and Mauritzio Baiocchi. Since then we have kept the flag flying with ground-breaking Afro House cuts from Sphereble and RazChris Ginitri, we've seen Alan Russell step up to the plate with a few of his own productions and we've mined the back catalogue for remixes or remasters of some of the classics we still own. Recently re-located to London after 15 years down in Antigua, the label is continuing to release new music and push new buttons.
