Aykut Bilir, ‘synthesizing’ deep rooted Middle Eastern modal music with modern electronic music elements by utilizing his own many years academic experience. His passion reaching beyond the horizon in music are made possible by combining organic instruments like fretless electric guitar, baglama and synthesizers in microtuning as more compatible with the nature of the sound. He is currently making dj sets and production in Istanbul, nourishing this multicultural environment and has groovy connection with Groove Colonie despite thousands of kilometers in between.
