About ERIC GROOVE
Eric Groove has been a major contributor in the house music scene of Oakland, CA. He is a promoter, event organizer, dabbles in percussion, and a dj. What started out as him helping bring "Grooves in the Park" from Stockton to Oakland in 2006, to "Backyard Boogie" house parties at his pad in the yard in 2008, has sparked those to be on another level that led to so much more.
Co-founder of "(ATM) About The Music" crew established in 2009, which brought many events that were felt to be missing in the Bay Area/Oakland area. ATM is dedicated to the promotion of house music, and its culture. They have been creating a positive community vibe through music, dance, and art at their events.
Events such as: "Deeper Side of Soul" dance party, "Waveforms" Boat Party, "Nature's Rhythm" & Groovin' In The Park", and Oaktoberfest's "Dancing in the Dimond" annual street festival are some of his residencies you can hear him play...as well as guest dj appearances in various venues/events in the Bay Area and beyond. Spinning since 2012...Eric has shared the decks with Mark Farina, Kenny Summit, Cevin Fisher, Mr. V, David Harness, Oscar P, David Montoya, Del, Stan Zeff, Jose Marquez, Julius Papp, Sal Negro, Tony Soul, Master Kev, Patrick Wilson, Julius The MadThinker, Said, Lars Behrenroth, Sabine Blaizin, and many more.
Eric is also a West Coast Weekender affiliate representing his area for a third year in a row.
His style of music selections range from Deep, Soulful, Afro, Disco & Classic - House, to Roots & Culture, Rocksteady, Rub-a Dub, Lovers Rock, Dancehall - Reggae, and more.
