Krankbrother keep up the heat with their fifth release on the label, this time calling on the exemplary talents of Cardiff based producer, The Organ Grinder.

Three tracks then from this rising star, who has been plying his trade since 2011 with early releases on Gert-Jan Bijl’s 4 Lux label, Cardiff’s own Catapult Records and Detroit Swindle’s Heist imprint. ‘Trees & Sausages’ is the first of a trio of club pumpers of this EP, classic rave stabs jab over the punchy kick and the crackling static, the filtering female vox and glistening hats adding to the energy levels on this one. More classic rave tropes are offered up on ‘Hardcore Bump’, coming over like a classic slice of mid-term Strictly Rhythm, a hard NY house sound is plundered, complete with charming drum rolls and choppy vox.‘Sucked In And Spat Out’ catches Organ Grinder in pummeling techno mode, a simple yet effective cut that builds and builds, retaining plenty of funk and flow that the masters like Robert Hood and Mr. G lean on so heavily. A track that does literally suck you in and spit you out….. Impressive stuff from The Organ Grinder on this, his debut release for Krankbrother.
