'I want to be in control of what I release and when. I have a new vision and this label is part of that.' After releasing on a myriad of labels including Cocoon, Get Physical, Kompakt and Drumcode, Simon Baker has successfully launched his own imprint.
Fresh of the back of releasing the 'The Ebony EP' on Simon Baker Presents BKR Projekt which received extensive support from medias including Xlr8r, Inverted Audio and DJs alike, he presents 'The Saffron EP', another release that adheres to the labels ethos of stripped back and grooving techno.
'The Saffron EP' is evidence of Simon Baker taking back full artistic and creative control of his sound. His fresh approach is clear in the three uncompromising techno tracks. 'Saffron' starts the EP off in a lighter tone whilst 'Ginger' is a thumping contrast. Fuzzy is are the most intense track on the EP and makes obvious just how clear the sound and direction of The BKR Projekt is.
