Fred Everything's Lazy Days....

For this week’s Spotlight, we travel to Montreal, the home of Lazy Days!

Fred Everything’s imprint celebrates 15 years of creating and putting out music on its own terms. 15 years of following its own path and playing to its own vision. 15 years of releases and collaborations that include Atjazz, Vincenzo, JT Donaldson, Trentemoller to name just a few.

Its discography boasts a range of musical talent including vocalists Stee Downes and Nathalie Claude who helped lift Lazy Days out of the conventional four-to-the-floor box. These eclectic styles coupled with the bespoke vocal features make for an essential label.

Dig a little deeper and you will be rewarded with solid releases and remixes from the likes of label stalwart Atjazz - a master of delivering fresh and forward-thinking sounds. Take for example his ‘Unreleased Astro Remix’ of Fred Everything's 'Mercyless’ feat. Wayne Tennant - a masterpiece that transcends the boundaries of House and Electro music. For those seeking something a little more understated - we recommend Fred Everything’s standout 2014 double A Side EP - ‘(We Lost) The Night’, recently added to the Traxsource store for your listening pleasure.

In the spirit of celebration of 15 years, Lazy Days will be releasing three compilations in what will be an essential retrospective various artist releases.

Also on the horizon as Fred Everything celebrates his own 25 year milestone as a recording artist, is a collaboration with House legend Robert Owens on new cut - ‘I’ll Take You In’. The track was recorded late last year following a performance together for a special event in Montreal. The event was part of art installation ‘Bring Down Walls’ - which examined racial injustice and the industrial prison complex in the US and Canada through the lens of House Music.

The label’s mission back in 2005 was simple: to release a wide range of timeless and classic House Music with a focus on quality artwork and mastering - which, without a shadow of a doubt, Lazy Days has most definitely achieved.
