ROD WINSTON

Rod Winston began his career opening for two DJ legends in New Jersey, DJ Gank and Grandmaster DJ T in the early 80's. He quickly became a popular house party DJ in New Jersey/New York City area. After hosting local house parties and winning some DJ battles he landed a few local club appearances in the late 80's around New Jersey. This led him to landing a resident position in Newark, NJ famous Club Zanzibar in 1989-90 opening up for the world renowned DJ and Producer Tony Humphries. This position lasted 2 years until the Zanzibar closed its doors. While at Club Zanzibar, the Saturday night dance party hosted over 5000 guests each week and became the First Dance Party in the North Jersey area to be broadcast live on Summit Communications 98.7 WRKS Kiss FM hosted by "The Queen of All Media" Wendy Williams.

In 2009, he signed to Paragon Worldwide Entertainment out of Atlanta, Georgia to a DJ and production deal. In 2011, he produced a rap single under the Paragon brand called "No Cure" featuring SK and the legendary Zodiac Killer. In September of 2012, he produced another track on Paragon label featuring Sequoia and SK called "My Passion".

Rod Winston joined Cox Media 94.3 WYBC in New Haven Connecticut in 2010 to do the Old School Drive at 5 hosted by Juan Castillo. This opportunity led to Connecticut having their first of a series of "Day Parties" sponsored by the station and Juan Castillo which became a huge hit around the state spurring a day party frenzy amongst the competition and promoters.

Another key factor to his success is having a great management and promotions team. He is the Co-owner/Operator of Black Israel Records, Rod Winston Digital Entertainment and Rod Winston Digital Publishing which was all established in 2012. His team put out a string of R&B and Soulful House tracks that have received notable acclaim around the globe. His production team consist of Barbara Douglas and Phikolomzi Macozoma (iVudu) of South Africa.
