For some years now, Marcus Wrangö has been practicing an aesthetic where he works mostly in the extreme high and extreme low range of human hearing. Where most music store the critical information in the middle register, a lot of Marcus’ music explores the senses in different aspects, with high-density information in the outskirts of the hearing spectrum. A type of reversed or mirrored entropy. On OO.O Marcus explores these aesthetics in combination with more common elements of electronic music such as pad sounds and straight melodies. The four pieces on the present release form rhythmical stases at the same time as they display quite usual musical forms. The sounds originate from old analogue signal generators in contrast to software instruments. The process and composition have been based exclusively on intuitive decisions.
