Jake Island's sublime debut album 'Do It Like This' delivers its sparkling first single in the form of the LPs title track. This blissful release features the vocal talents of Alec Sun Drae, with an awesome remix package from Crazy P, Shur-i-kan, Pete Dafeet, and Jake himself. This is quality House Music at its finest. With an arsenal of singles and remixes set to come, 'Do It Like This' kicks off the series in good stead.
The Original is a lush seductive Deep House affair with Jakes trademark beats, layered instrumentation & sultry vocals courtesy of Alec Sun Drae. First up on remix duties is the formidable Crazy P. Hot on the heels of their amazing new album 'Stop Space Return' on 2020Vision, the guys deliver an unforgettable mix. Channeling their unmistakable live energy into their productions, Crazy P deliver a dynamite mix that subtly blends all the influences they have become renowned for. Offering another take on the Original, Shur-i-kan steps up for the next mix delivering a superb rendition aimed directly at the floor, lifting the track with sunny chords and an up-tempo B-line whilst still capturing the deep flavour of the original. Shur-i-kan needs little introduction; his trademark blend of musicality and cutting edge electronic production has been turning heads and gaining fans for a number of years now. With stunning releases on Freerange, Urban Torque & Tronicsole, this mix doesn't disappoint. Lost My Dog's Pete Dafeet steps up and delivers a stripped down mix aimed directly at the deeper floors whist Jake Island completes the package with a down tempo Balearic take on his original.
