On the title track, Dark Tradition, deep, warm analog drum and synth arrangements are crafted into a futuristic tech-house excursion that's both uplifting and hypnotic. On Side B, Soft Machine, provides a more melodic structure...the melody is instantly catchy and glides through a driving rhythm. Finally, Dark Transition, offers a more ambient version. Overall, the sound here can best be compared to works by Aril Brikha and DJ Rolando.

This EP is Stockholm-based producer Mikael Nordgren's first release as D'Malicious. He started writing songs at the age of ten, and has since collaborated with heroes like disco legend Leroy Burgess (Aleems, Black Ivory, Logg) and house diva, Adeva, under the name Slippery People. Mikael started as a soul dj then got interested in house music. His dj sets contain everything from disco, to deep soulful house, to Detroit techno.
