Julian Kid is a 19-year old DJ producer from Budapest in Hungary. His debut release, a clever rework of the Fugees' "Ready Or Not", came out earlier this year on HouseU, the label run by local friends and mentors Earth'n'Days. He has an incredible production style; his beats are as strong as someone who has been hard at work for years. Here he teams up with one of our favourite vocalists, Elliotte Williams-N'Dure, to deliver a heavyweight rework of "Wish I Didn't Miss You". I thought I had heard all the versions of this song I needed to, but when Julian sent this in, I immediately changed my mind. The song is a tough one to inject energy into, but he has done that with aplomb. I cannot wait to see this one entertaining crowds all summer.
