Eyptin Wholi debuts on Piston with a superb three track EP titled Genug. A unique artist who professes to be a low-res electronic noise, ambient pop and a progressive textures musician.
With an emphasis on experimentation he is definitely all about the textures and contrasting sounds which usually result in sublime constructions. Eyptin discovered electronic music at age 15 and soon became involved with the local DJ scene before he moved to production. He began as a musician and multi-instrumentalist in late 2005 and since then he has won numerous awards with his music topping many charts in various countries. Great to have him and his exciting music on board.

First up we have the dark and moody techno joint Genug Part 1. Nice chunky kicks and shuffling hi hats fill the sound as a strong, punchy bass pluck hit the first beat. The groove is powered by superb drum arrangement while mysterious pads create a surreal atmosphere. The track mesmerizes and draws you in with its mystical way. Definitely one for the late-night session.

Genug Part 2 delivers a very cool, pacier techno groove. Solid beats lead the way as crispy hi hats cut through. The background pads are straight out of a psychological thriller and grab your attention from the off. Repeating voices hypnotize as the punchy kick drums keep the groove rocking. The track is layered beautifully with each layer presenting cool textures. With a minimalistic style this one definitely packs a punch, not to be missed.

It Doesn't Matter If We All Die intros with a nice punchy kick drum alongside shuffling percussions while a soft organ full of beautiful tones fades in, bringing a sweet melodic air to the track. An arpeggiated bassline follows creating an energetic groove while the pads brighten up to reveal a somewhat euphoric vibe. A wonderfully easy flowing track that will offer a real sense of joy to the listener, a must have no doubt.
