We collected them, impressions, nightmares, fragments of memories, and we loved them, despised them or feared them. Watching them in movies, reading about them in books or hearing about them from talented storytellers - there were the creatures that escorted us in different stops in our lives, becoming part of our fantasy, filling our imagination with anxiety, awe or disgust. We all have our creatures - those who carved their figures on our soul, as young children through adolescences and - if we're lucky - still doing so as we grew older.
It took Marion Cobretti about two years to gather his cadre of creatures into his first album. Those he chose to take with him on his journey are indeed very different from one another - each represents different aspects of fear and loathing - and each became a track, very different than the rest. The screeches, the sounds, deep yet energetic techno - all attempt to represent an interpretation of the sound or figure of the respective creature.
