Man 2.0 aka Mark Bailey joins Roam Recordings with a brand new EP - The Absolute Pain Of Not Being In Your Arms. The London based artist has been quite prolific lately with several excellent releases of off kilter techno on labels such as Nein and Night Noise. For this EP Man 2.0 crafts two new originals with the sound of Roam in mind. The title track features spattering electronics with psychedelic pads perfect for an outdoor festival or general face melting while Saline has a bit of an 80s groove under rich tones that build throughout the track.
Label boss Jason Peters (formerly known as JP Soul) has his first appearance on Roam with his new moniker. In his remix of the title track JP delivers a stripped-down version adding an energetic italo-esc style bass while continuing to keep the psychedelic theme of the original.
Roam Alumni FLXXX returns to give a darker take on Saline with driving synths that the Mexican duo does so well.
The four tracks come together into a cohesive EP of psychedelic, offbeat, and compelling grooves.
