We welcome back Thomas Schwartz & Fausto Fanizza to BP with the superb Mbira which comes with two solid remixes from Wally Lopez and Sunlight Project. This one follows their early 2018 debut - Cages - which was very well received indeed. They've been prominent figures in the dance music scene for many years now. They doubled as part of the hugely successful Starchasers back at the turn of the millennium and since then they've racked up a very impressive catalogue under various guises. Their works have appeared on several top labels and their music is consistent with pure quality and inspiration.

The Original Mix delivers a nice, fresh melodic progressive mover. Right from the get go we're locked in as tight beats and infectious melodies raid the senses. A deep droning bassline drive the low end smoothly as cool vocals come through on the break. Smooth, warming synths deliver the main hook as the track takes on a tribal tone making it an absolute must for any building set.

Well renowned Spanish artist Wally Lopez joins us at BP with a debut remix that delivers his unique sound in a contemporary setting. Famed for several internationally successful remixes and original tracks, he has also worked alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music as well as crossing over into other styles. His career has spanned many years and he has won a multitude of awards. His presence in the dance music scene has earned him top sponsorships and his blistering DJ sets put him into top clubs including a residency at Space, Ibiza. You could literally write a book about this guy, but we'll settle for this short intro and let the music do the rest. The remix intros with a nice punchy kick drum and cool rhythmic percussions. You will already be dancing at this early stage and, if not then the truly infectious bassline that crops up will get your ass on to the floor in a heartbeat. The bass just dominates the track beautifully, dictating the groove while tribal elements join in. The main melody adds texture while the break takes us on a sublime journey before we slam back to full on mode. Top notch, not to be missed.

Sunlight Project marks his Bonzai debut with this stunning remix. Italian native Andrew Cash is the man behind the project and over the last number of years he has carved out a solid niche in the narrow gap between trance and progressive. Known for creating dreamy, uplifting melodies and steady basslines, his works have gained a great deal of support from top jocks and artists alike including Paul Van Dyk, Manuel Le Saux, Dash Berlin and Armin Van Buuren. Here the remix gives us a tight progressive mover thanks to those punchy beats and prominent bass drone. Cool hi hats slice through the lower frequencies joining a smooth rhythmic percussion section. The vocals add character but it's that bass that carries the track into the stratosphere. The melodies are subtle, allowing the deeper elements to power the groove. An absolute stomper that will not disappoint.
