The next release on DPE comes from dutch minimal and techno veteran Daniel Sanchez. Sanchez has been running things in Amsterdam since the mid 00’s, when he burst onto the scene with his record label and events brand BlaBla. His extensive discography has seen him release with some of the most respected labels in the game including Saved, Get Physical and Little Helpers.
The title track ‘Beton’ is a rolling minimal house jam that brings warmth and depth in the production and marries them seamlessly with functionality to create a timeless record that will sound just as fresh for years to come. Daniel Sanchez demonstrates his technical abilities here as he creates an incredibly intricate and detailed composition that constantly morphs as it plays on. The real magic here is that the execution is flawlessly restrained. He manages to use tonnes of studio wizardry to constantly evolve things throughout, but the groove is so strong that it keeps hypnotically rolling from beginning to end.
On remix duty is none other than Germany’s Christian Burkhardt. Christian is known for his distinctive take on minimal house and techno which he has been disseminating across the worlds best dance floors via his own CBSessions imprint as well as many notable labels including the mighty Cocoon Recordings. Burkhardt keeps the personality and flair of the original while upping the tempo weaving his magic to create driving and unique production that totally embodies his signature sonic aesthetic.
