Time for something a little outside of the box now, James Cole has delivered a funky EP including a high calibre remix from Francesco Dinoia. James has had recent success on Paul’s Boutique, Go Deeva and now makes his Limited debut, following on from his awesome ‘Guestlist’ EP on NoExcuse Records last year.

The opening track ‘Brooklyn International’ is a stripped back hybrid, you can place is somewhere between underground house and early rhythm & blues. The track takes clear influence from one of the most important transitional stages in dance music, add to that a little hint of 80’s analogue synths and minimal groove and you’ve got yourself something special.

It’s quickly followed up by an uptempo remix from Francesco Dinoia, bringing a slice of his signature sound to NoExcuse Limited. A modern Tech House crowd-pleaser, with a strong four to the flour beat and a catchy, melodic bassline. Yet another fine show of the young Italian’s identifiable productions!

James finishes off the EP with ‘Go Like This’, a chunky and melodic roller. Continuing the emphasis on funk, this track will have you shaking loose from early on.
