J. Maloe had already been making waves in South Africa, mostly for his different take on Afrohouse. His very unique sound has recently been making waves globally for his ability to think outside of the box and to just create the music that he loves. More recently, J has been proving himself as a prolific, upcoming producer by being charted in the Dance Music Charts in the US and all over Europe, respectively. In this single, he teams up with Production Block Records Head Honcho, Tashan Venicini to offer up a beautiful, unorthodox track which rides the lines between Afro House, Soulful House and Tech House. This truly is an amalgam of J and Tashan’s musical influence and maturity of sound. Ethereal, atmospheric pads, a smooth bassline and analog hook form the backbone of the track. Together with a solid kick drum and very deep, understated low end throughout, these elements mask the ever so subtle vocals from Kayenne. Her beautiful voice and lyrics, while tucked in for the most part tend to reveal a little more insight, when the track opens up ever so slightly from time to time. Her voice truly is a terrific addition to an already amazing track which is defying all “genre” rules and bending and blending a beautiful masterpiece which is both cohesive and also very unique at the same time.
