After a spring/summer break, SUTIL RECORDS is back with a vengeance. The wait has been worth it as they hit the ground running with an exceptional EP from AGM & QUINTRIX. 'HELLO FRESH' features three new productions from the duo of Antonio Gomez and Diego Quintian from Galicia (Spain), and a remix of the title track by fellow Galician DAVID GRANHA.
They gained international recognition through catching the eye of FUNK D' VOID after winning a remix competition for his OUTPOST label, and have gone on to remix his track, ‘ITALOCA’. Label head honcho DAVID GAUSA already knew of the guys, and asked them to remix ‘CRAZY PJANO' by the DUB MAKERS on SUTIL earlier this year. They did a brilliant job.
Perfect timing for their debut original productions on our solid label, therefore. 'HELLO FRESH' kicks things off, and it’s the trademark AGM & QUINTRIX sound driven by a funk-fuelled bassline. The delicious groove is complemented by delicate synth lines, but it still packs a mean punch on the dancefloor. Expect plenty of hands in the air when the track reaches its climax. On the remix, meanwhile, DAVID GRANHA takes the track deeper and darker. Slower paced and full of atmospheric effects, it’s a masterful reworking from one of the emerging names on the progressive techno scene.
Completing the EP are ‘THEY WON’ where they provide us with some sultry late night action, and ‘THE BLOXX’ with its more stripped back sound and nod towards nu-disco. The ‘HELLO FRESH’ EP is an outstanding package from a pair of producers on top form, and another example of SUTIL RECORDS handpicking the best new talent out there!
