It’s been a minute since the legends like Deekline and Specimen A got together to create some broken beat bliss, but if you know how they do then you know that you in for a massive treat with “Run Da Riddim” EP.

Getting right down to business “Lift Me Up” sparkles with a soaring vocal line anchored by a hefty bassline providing glimpses of the kind of massive dance floor moments this tune will undoubtedly inspire.

“Like This” pulls things back with a more subtle offering of sultry organic sonics and slippery flow by MC PSG. Driven by its garage bass line, the boys have accented this tune to perfection with slices of shimmering pianos, chunky beats and spicy vocal chops that call to mind a more classic sound, with a decidedly modern twist.

The titular track “Run Da Riddim” effortlessly moves from four to the floor stomper to broken beat floor filler and back with a dastardly womp of a low end. Minimal madness is the order of the day, with nothing more than bangin’ beats and bass so dirty that you’ll need to change your socks after rocking to this one.

Changing the mood up again the boys round things out with “I Believe,” whose moments of half- time beauty are balanced out by yet another nasty rolling bass line. Deekline and Specimen A have once again put together a package of some of the finest future classics, proving yet again why they are nearly unmatched in the game.
