The Vast Profound is Wil Russell (one half of 'Pop Out and Play' with Simon Tappenden (OURRA) previously releasing on Alola and Visitor Records etc.).
In his debut release under this name he delivers 2 unique tracks. 'The Rain Made it Deep' is a timeless sounding deep house track with simple, yet effective chords decorated with riffing keys. Tom Lown's remix of the track keeps it deep but adds a more driving feel with a nod towards the dance floor. The second original 'The Long Goodbye' is slightly more techy with building synths and strings that just keep building with a haunting female vocal sample that ends this 3 tracker off nicely.
Wil is also a graffiti artist and designed the cover artwork to this release.
