Shaun J. Wright & Alinka's Twirl imprint welcomes Macaulay onto the Twirl roster this March with 'Home Alone', featuring remixes from Physical Therapy and Moderna.
Mexican producer and DJ Macaulay has been releasing his energy fuelled brand of House, Techno and Nu-Disco since 2014 via the likes of Exxxtra Picante, Phisica and his own Inmacaulay label as well as a remix of Spatial Awareness alongside Mijo for Twirl where her returns to here for a solo single.
Title-track 'Home Alone' leads with thumping kicks, classic rave stabs and choppy bass hits before the latter stages introduces sweeping strings and vocal cuts to create a groove-driven house workout. 'Home Alone 2' follows and this time round lays focus on dynamically evolving, gritty drums, hooky stab sequences and a thunderous kick.
Physical Therapy steps up next with his take on 'Home Alone', employing bubbling acid licks, a bumpy, raw drum groove and warbling synth pads at its core before Moderna steps up with her smooth, hypnotic interpretation of 'Home Alone' led by pulsating subs, mesmerizing atmospherics and fluttering cymbals.
