Backspace is the brand new EP from Taster Peter on his very absolute Extravaganza imprint.
The main track which gives also the title to the record is nothing than a concrete piece of modern techno music.
Fireworks between smashing percussions and bass line, an hypnotic modular arpeggiator and distorted synth stabs build up a nice progression that transport you directly in a full crowded peak time room, sweating hard and dancing in a another state of mind. Backspace is high powered and soulful avalanche of dynamic stop and go rhythms that make it a strong voyage. Nothing for the weak.
Timo Maas has arranged his own rework of the main track in a brilliant way. He has created a hypnotic monster of a disco groove that proves again his masterful music production skills and puts the record on another level. It brings together deep strings with an ongoing, non-stop rhythm that is just perfect for the late hours. Great composition, great drama!
The last track of the EP is called ‘Unsteady’: a crossover production between old and new school techno that carries filtered noises as well as real hooky sequences which together they create a superb-non-stop feeling par excellence. There is something unique in this record: everything is done at the right time with little twists and spacious sounds, giving an enormous depth to the track. This is a great experience you won’t to miss.
