Part of the fledgling catalogue that features on Greek imprint Resonances, "Grindavik" showed off Dowden's flair with a sumptuous underground progressive sound that lit up the incipient label in November 2017. With a former remix of Andrea Cassino for Yin in October, the Canadian now returns to find his own work remixed by Ivanshee and Hexlogic.

A Belarusian artist who continues to impress with his distinctive underground sound, Ivanshee has had a particularly industrious and successful 2017. A fledgling production career that began with a debut for Trancepole in 2011 blossomed into a prolific period between 2015 and 2017 with over a double century of credits to his name. Thus, such leading imprints as Inmost, OLD SQL and JOOF Aura have featured the Ivanshee name with the latter responsible for March 2017's "Eastern Myth."

Now making his debut on Yin, the Ivanshee remix takes "Grindavik" on an evolving voyage that opens with a huge swathe of shuffling hi-hats before rippling arpeggio juxtaposes against deep bass groove with menacing edge. Using the melodic themes of Dowden's original to great effect, the driving energy of the third movement, combined with the vocal phrasing so central to the original, creates a new and imaginative reworking.
