Plus Plus returns for the 40th release on the label with Plus Plus first timer Discoah and friends. The “Bienvendio al Paraiso” EP features talent from the great midwest, showcasing the the more stripped down sounds that have been permeating during those long brutal months.

The opening track brings a dark and moody vibe that accentuates those winter months. Paradiso features an open, growling bass line and an intense steel drum inspired melody that is accompanied by haunting vocal textures. This track is perfect for any pitch black basement gathering or warming up those large warehouse spectacles.

Genuine Methods is the opposite side of the coin when compared to Paradiso. Crisp syncopated hats push the groove, playing with the phat bassline to create a touch of bounce. Soft, delicate pads soar throughout the track, with shimmering chords accenting the rich brass line. A smooth, late night burner that is primed to keep the dance floor moving.

Kthulu With a K drives the groove with a mighty tom roll and hypnotizing bassline. The synth line pulls you deeper in and a vicious subdrop reminds you exactly how deep you’ve gone. The vocal line offers a soothing texture, as if giving you that last ray of hope as the sun sets before the darkness envelopes you.

Plus Plus is excited once again to have Jeff Swiff back on remix duties for Paradiso! In the words of Swiff himself, “Its a sunset watching from the edge of a sand and water tunnel, sunset track”. Swung drums and an infectious take on the original steel drum driven groove suck you into a thought provoking atmosphere with a synth line that brings you back to earth before returning to home.

The duo behind Hunter Sanchez applies their signature style to Kthulhu with a K. Stripping down the original to it’s bare essentials, Hunter Sanchez takes the vocals and creates a hypnotic loop that runs underneath while punchy bassline plays along with the kick to create a thick and heavy bottom end. A plucky synth line worms it’s way in, standing front and center while the tracks keeps asking if you can feel the voice. A subtle break builds the tension before the drums and bassline comes thundering back in and keep driving until the tracks conclusion.

One of Minneapolis’s long running House cats and label first timer, Jason Heinrichs approach on Genuine Methods delivers a summer groover perfect for the warmer months and any party in paradise. This track is a throwback to the early 2000’s West coast House sound and brings an excellent reinterpretation of the original bassline adding warmth and a hipshake. Horns, intricate drum fills, and a revamped drum kit push the Genuine groove and make this an essential for any Summer soiree.
