The second release on the new DPE label is from a bonafide veteran of the underground sound. Swiss-Italian DJ and producer Nukem has been releasing music and traveling the globe since 1995. In that time his sound has evolved and seen him become a master of deep minimal vibes with a consistent string of heavy charting releases.
First up is the title track Life Is A Party, a fitting name and bold statement that we agree with 100%. In this minimal tech weapon Nukem builds a pounding groove full of energy and mystery. He effortlessly weaves in different sounds and textures to the main beat which keep your attention firmly locked in as the composition ebbs and flows. A tough groover that could find a home in both peak time sets and on dark after hours floors.
Up next is Nukem's homage to the legendary Zurich club Supermarket which opened it's doors in 1998. Calling the track 19 Years Supermarket ensures there is no mistaking the intention here! On this one Nukem takes a slightly more techno route than the opening track, here we are greeted with a tough beat, contrasting tribal and industrial percussion sounds and bouncing sub bass. A very energetic and hypnotising track which is going to bring the house down whenever it is played.
