New single from the new Munk album "The Bird and the Beat" which gets a crazy buzz right now: "Album of the Month" in many dance magazines around the world. (London's DJ Mag called it "already one of the best albums of this year!"). Rue de Rome is a dirty 70ies style Street Funk House track. Reminds of the stuff that Cassius and Motorbass where doing in the end of the 90ies. Sleazy french vocals and a heavy bass/ guitarline give the track a unique "black" feel. Remixes by MICKEY MOONLIGHT (Ed Banger), BLACK STROBE, COPYSHOP (Bear Funk), new Gomma artist CECILE (who recently did a remix for Vampire Weekend that was described by Erol Alkan as "the absolutely perfect remix" and upcoming French techno kids NASSER.
