A staple returns. The man known as Tobi Kramer is a long time contributor to the Formatik Records catalogue and has been delivering great stuff for full on single releases and compilation efforts ever since 2012. Now he is back with his Impress Me EP which caters twi original tunes as well as a remix delivered by label mate Alec Troniq.

The opening title track Impress Me sees Tobi Kramer slowly unroll a massive set of ever morphing, warped bass synths and decent acidic influences whilst an excellent array of micro layers and solid grooves provide massive dancefloor movements alongside a slightly jackin' attitude and heavily processed vocal bits.

Coming in heavy on remix duties Mr. Alec Troniq turns the groovy TechHouse-vibe of Impress Me fully around to present a more static, but nonetheless fascinating and functional vision relying on mechanical hi-hat works, a growling background of sub frequencies, robotic vocoders and sterile, futuristic drilling sounds for threatening moments on more technoid dancefloors.

Finally Echo Park, another original tune by Tobi Kramer, takes us into more uplifting territories with its lively bass following a kind of oldskool'ish vibe, pumping TechHouse foundation, heavy percussion sections, large scale signals and trademark, hard hitting, hands-in-the-air vocal movements that turn this one into high energy banger for now and forever.
