Both tracks thump with the relentless rhythms these guys have been known for creating, but they employ a fair amount of distinctly musical material, maybe more than you’d expect, and that's music to our ears! Gigantic synth swells and melodic, arpy builds interspersed between battering breakdowns put this release squarely between techno and progressive, creating an intense synthesis. Don’t call it uplifting, Splitting Minds is dark and twisted to be sure, but one will find beauty in the madness.
