To close the year we bring you the first taster from DJ Spinna's forthcoming 'Intergalactic Soul' Album. 'Outta Time' marries the stand out vocals of Delouie with a freaky electro bassline, the crazy keys of Selan Lerner and James Hurt and Spinna's beats, to create a twisted anti-love song about the end of an affair. This single sees Spinna and Delouie collaborating again after the recent 'Open Up' single on WonderWax.
What is left to be said about the near legendary DJ Spinna. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, he is regarded as one of the most versatile and talented producers, DJ's & remixer's in today's musical arena. Over the years he has established himself as one of the worlds hardest working producers, working on numerous tracks and remixes for notable artists from around the globe such as Michael Jackson, De La Soul, George Michael, Mary J. Blige, Ronny Jordan, Mos Def, Pharoahe Monch, Shaun Escoffery, Sadat X, Zero 7, Soul Live Shirley Bassey, 4 Hero, Rae & Christian, Attica Blues, Urban Species, Shaka Zombie, Nightmares on Wax, and Les Nubians. He has proved time and again that he is not afraid to experiment with differing styles, his remix of Shaun Escofferey's 'Days Like This' being one of the house anthems of 2003 and beyond.
Spinna has over fifteen years of experience as a DJ, and has been collecting records since childhood. His career started as a college radio and party DJ at Binghamton University. DJ Spinna made a guest appearance on Kiss FM (NY) in 1994 and became a resident DJ on WBAI's Underground Railroad Program. Having a deep rooted and diverse background in music has given Spinna the ability to send crowds into frenzy. His sets range from Hip-Hop, Break Beats, R& B, Rare Grooves, to Classic Soul, Funk, Jazz, Disco classics, House and Vintage Garage tunes...and that's before the legendary Stevie Wonder parties that he runs alongside fellow Stevie fanatic and NY legend DJ Bobbito, but one thing is guaranteed?..the crowd leaves happy.
