There's no doubt about how Martin Landsky has been a staple in the German electronic music scene for about two deacdes now as a DJ in his hometown Berlin as well as all over the globe and with a steady stream of high quality releases that has never run dry since 1997. Therefore we're pleased to welcome this man on Upon.You Records again for the release of his forthcoming single Rough Days Right Now.
Whilst opening with the so-called 'Main Mix' of Rough Days it becomes pretty clear why Martin Landsky's productions are highly valued by DJ's and producers worldwide. A spatial, crystal clear vision of sparse TechFunk meets a meandering, analogue sounding synth motif and surprisingly discoid vocal reworks a formula with only a few ingredients to create a massive boost on any heaving dancefloor for sure.
Following up is Right Now, another sparse and funky production effort prominently taking advantage of a well-familiar vocal snippet unearthed from the archives of electronic music, pairing this gem with a heapload of soft, organic pads and a distinct metallic climax to provide a new musical context that caters a lot of sonic heat for intimate late night floors and crowds looking for their very moment of sexual healing.
Finally the 'Instrumental' cut of Rough Days gets as funky as thing can get, leaving out the discoid vocal bits for a bit of an alternative for all jocks who like to work their dancefloors with a pumping and muscular sonic vision.
