The Enigma Corporation is a multi-faceted operation - a label, management, publishing and branding solution - they strive to first and foremost prioritise quality over quantity with regards to both the music they release and the artists they cover. As a label they have begun to develop a shapeshifting catalogue that’s joined the dots between UK Bass and Jazz-tinged House and next up is a sugary pop record from Hungarian duo Loving Arms that comes backed up by remixes from Castro and Thomas White.
The original, which features Blu Eyes on vocals kicks things off with shuttering 808s, electric guitar lines and chiming steel drums. The multi-talented Castro then offers his take which utilizes his background as a percussionist in layering shuffling rhythms over piano stabs and treated vocals. Then, the Montreal based RAW Records founder Thomas White finishes things off with a typically well-designed revision which plays with pitch and delicate percussive flickers to bring things to a hazy, warped conclusion.
