Zurich's Colas & Cage unveil their new Pillowtalk EP on Deepalma Records, representing their very own homage to real house music.
If the vocal line of your new single includes a statement like 'House is the Religion' this expresses a lot and so does Colas & Cages new EP.
Colas & Cage are two upcoming producers from Switzerland who breathe and live house music to the fullest, this is for sure. With releases on labels such as Kingstreet, Prison Entertainment and just previously Miguel Migs' Salted Music the two house heads from Zurich can already look back on an impressive discography within a short lead of time. Deepalma Records now welcomes the two friends with their new Pillowtalk EP, quiet a lot tasting like their personal homage to House.
The A-side, entitled 'Deacon', begins with crunchy beats and an infectious filtered hook line featuring the words 'House Is The Religion', which then opens up to the tracks ear catching bass foundation. 'Pillowtalk' then uses side-chained synth sounds and melodies which melt with hypnotizing vocal chops, defining the shelter for the tune's dynamic substructure of twisted bass notes and shuffling old school beats.
