It's now time to unleash the 1st of 2 stellar remix packages on 'Higher' featuring new treatments from a few of House music's finest Ambassadors - Marques Wyatt & Gabriel Rene and DJ Pierre. It was quite a coup to get these talented veterans on board and we're thrilled with the outcome! Their respective mixes are uniquely brilliant & quite different from one another. Already road tested with great success to packed houses at Printworks, London and Sound, Los Angeles, both mixes are poised to appeal to a wide cross section of todays modern DJ's n' fans. ENJOY!
Marques Wyatt & Gabriel Rene AquaDEEP Remix:
Marques Wyatt is best known for his long running (18 Years) house institution DEEP-LA and spreading aural love across the globe as a DJ in demand. It's no secret that Marques has always made nurturing his local house scene in LA a top priority, by producing quality events and hosting local talent as well as those from all over the world. Thus, his busy DJ schedule and running DEEP's operations have posed a challenge for him to find time to make his way back to the studio. Marques credits his dedicated team of support with allowing him to end his hiatus from the studio and enter the production arena again. We are blessed to be the 1st lucky beneficiary of one of Marques' productions in quite some time.
On his return Marques joins forces with Aquanote & Soulfuric veteran Gabriel Rene for a tour de force collaboration. The fellas deliver a masterpiece that is both deep & seductively soulful. It pulls you in from the opening note and doesn't let go. They have created one of those rare mixes that transcends genre preferences. Pierre's treatment of "HIGHER" takes you on an 8 1/2 minute tribal and hypnotically soulful journey. His 'less is more' approach is masterful and arranged & produced with the deft skills of someone who has lived the life of a true underground pioneer. The mix is primed for a big room, but will also resonate with a diverse cross section of DJs and fans. We're honored to have him on board. Plain and simply - his remix is a 'phuture' classic!
