Alt Reality is a breath of fresh air coming from Frivolous just in time for summer. Funky and upbeat, this EP comes six years after his last release, and depicts Frivolous’ desire to use melodic minimal house as a stage for loose political satire open to listener interpretation.

Settling back on the west-coast of Canada bringing music to the community on the small gulf-island of Gabriola he now calls home, Frivolous has been wrestling with the question of whether Art should be inherently non partisan or not.

Believing he has something to say in light of recent news events, the tracks Demagogue, HPNSTNC, and Rays of Hope are Frivolous’ attempts at political commentary through caricature in music, alike to caricature in cartoon, play, and tv.

For the People couldn’t be happier to release this super groovy new EP.
