In June 2016, Matter lit up midsummer with a bright and shining EP that saw his star shining in the underground music firmament. Now, as Proton Music revisits "Pronoia", a pair of remixes from two highly-regarded artists, extends the Australian's work further.

Dutch maestros, Andy and Igor from the ancient university city of Groningen, have found themselves rising rapidly to exalted status among the dance community with their Mononoid production moniker. A regular on the Traum imprint with over thirty production credits and a host of original music to their name, the duo has gone from strength to strength since a 2011 debut. A name that translates as ‘never alone', Mononoid have never found themselves short of admirers, releasing on the industry's finest imprints with a current home on the legendary Einmusika. The "Pathways" EP for Guy J's Lost and Found in May 2015 was a case in point, as was the "Pure Blue" EP for Click Records and the "Dreambox" collaboration with fellow Dutchman, Navar, for Mitch Alexander's industry renowned, microCastle.

Making their presence felt on Particles with "Lack of Evidence" in May 2015, a pair of remixes for Kobana and Mondkrater on Proton Music in 2015 and 2016, illustrated the pair's impressive talent. Now returning to Proton for a third remix outing, the Mononoid rework of "Pronoia" sees the duo impress with a typically mature and polished offering. Intelligently using the themes inherent in Matter's original, Mononoid carefully weave melodic textures and original production within a deep rhythmic exterior. Beautiful analogue sounds and string melodies reach their zenith in a dark and poignant breakdown before continuing unabashed in the third movement to supreme effect.

From the historically significant Chisinau, amid its Soviet and neoclassical architecture, Moldovan duo, Alex and Andrew, have formed a productive collaborative partnership with their Lanvary name. Arriving together from diverse musical backgrounds, the pair have hit upon a formula for success that has seen them find their work allied to a plethora of strong independent labels with their unique sound. Initially finding success with Underphunk Recordings and Mistique Digital in late 2010, Lanvary have gone on to feature on Stellar Fountain, Suffused Music and Clinique with a raft of original material, supported by Matan Caspi, Gai Barone and Embliss in the process.

A regular on Particles, a debut EP in the shape of 2015's marvellous "Micromegas" EP, was then followed by "Slingshot Ride" in early 2016 before the "Penumbra" EP hit virtual shelves in November the same year. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Lanvary remix of "Seed", takes the duo's penchant for "melting various ingredients in their musical kitchen" with a deep, bass-fuelled offering that sees lower sub bass frequencies contribute to a thumping groove that rumbles through the chest cavity and out the other side with a devastating kick and percussive rattle. Subtle melodic elements redolent in delays and reverb provide additional interest in a work of poise and technique.

Remixes from Mononoid and Lanvary illuminate as the universe conspires in Matter's favour once again through "Pronoia".
