Hailing from Nicaragua and currently based in Calgary, Canada, Marco Cardoza has used his position as a staple of the city’s nightlife to become a forerunner in its growing techno scene.
His discography has so far covered various points of the spectrum between house and techno, with a focus on atmospheres and reality-altering, dark, deep and layered sounds.
On this release, Cardoza’s original mix of Union is a techno track dominated by reverberating bass drums and delayed synth stabs. A commanding vocal sample offers an interrogative tie in to the song's title, giving listeners pause to reflect on its deeper meaning.
