Another San Francisco discovery with a slice of smooth tech house goodness!Presenting the latest new talent from our home of San Francisco, Eight-Fifteen Recordings is proud to introduce Raoul Kahn with his first release, the tech infused "Go To The Moon".

No stranger to the San Francisco scene, Raoul has been DJing for the last 15 years, playing a variety of deep, soulful, funky and tech house styles. He has also travelled extensively, playing locations in Ibiza, Barcelona, Moscow, Asia and all over the US.

With "Go To The Moon", his first release, Raoul provides us with a set of mixes built around a historical speech about lunar exploration. The original mix, co-produced with fellow San Franciscan luminary Chris Lum is an impressive example of deep tech house featuring brooding synth elements and moody pads anchored by a hypnotic bassline.

Also included are Raoul's alternate interpretations, a Rework with a buzzier bassline and sparser instrumentation and a Deep version which takes a stripped down and minimal approach.

Label head Vincent Kwok lends his hand to the proceedings with his Lunar mix which cleverly blends the melds the tech feel of the original with an afro influenced beat.

Keeping it local, fellow San Franciscan Martin Aquino takes it back to basics by using minimal elements based around a chunky rhythm track.
