A swiss wise saying predicts: “All good things come from the mountain”. The latest Subotage Records release, Productid’s debut EP “Tamina Hills”, includes five deeply profound and emotional songs. The first song “Tamina Hills” demonstrates that experimentation is to the swiss producers liking. A catchy melody combined with an open range of atmospheric field recordings gives the song an additional natural touch. The second track „Reflexion“ takes you to the next level of playful experimentiveness. Tiny bits of micro-rhythms blend perfectly with an endless number of sound snippets. It’s a lovely, minimalistic and expressive continuation of the previous song. “Productid” shows his extended musical abilities by the third wonderful jazzy song “Meltin for you”. The enchanting voice of “Karenina” is lovingly wrapped in a precious Rhodes Piano tapestry and supported by a finely nuanced sound scenery. Due to the fathomless sub-bass “Meltin for you” competes with any clubtrack as well and is definitely the sound quality highlight on each dubstep playlist. „Antenna Calculation“ is the snappiest song on the „Tamina Hills EP“. Thight, organic drum beats, big and phat sounding sub-basses as well as embedded euphonious reverberating rooms emphasize the versatility of „Productid“ as a producer again. „Other Places“ points eastwards. Several asian sourced strings and percussion instruments transport the listener to an other furthermost place of desire. This song grabs the attention of your inner eye, time goes by, but only the deep bass brings the reality to mind. There isn't much room for improvement, a debut album couldn't be done any better. By means of this work shows the swiss producer „Productid“ his musical talent.
