In our Valentine's Day release we bring you true stories from the underground, uniquely spoken over beats by long time friend, DJ Tony Stewart. Tony is a veteran of the Los Angeles underground scene. From playing the local underground warehouse and loft parties, to playing Hip Hop at the more main stream clubs, to working as a long time record buyer for the legendary Beat Non-Stop records, Tony was everywhere in LA. Since relocating to Portland, Oregon, Tony continues to play weekly clubs around the city. On 'The Days EP' Tony recalls the story of being a young DJ seeking a gig, seeing a Technics SL-1200 turntable for the first time and paying his dues hustling as a promoter on the track 'Turntable.' On 'Remember When' Tony takes you back in time to the days when the Los Angeles underground was in its infancy, and just how special things were for those involved. 2 great stories, 2 instrumentals, and one accapella make for one jamming release from these old friends.
