The No. 012 on Plötzlich Musik is a deep and melodic symbiosis by 2040, Budakid, Emiel van den Dungen.
Music always had the magical power to connect people. With surprising facility it overcomes boundaries and distinctions and can create a strong alliance between people, no matter how different their backgrounds are. 2040 are Alessandro and Paolo, two guys who physically experience this phenomenon daily.
2040 creates a great story with melodic melodies, which let you dream and move at the same time. Every sound seems to be at the right spot in timing and room. This makes their productions perfect. Short and longs synth mixed with dynamic shakers are creating a great dynamic. After releases on Amselcom, URS and Voltaire Music, we are happy to have them with us.
Budakid took the song "Sognante" and interpreted the song with the same mood, but with a different focus. He added a piano which is giving the whole song a new perspective. Even though his kick is a bit dryer, his remix is a bit more laid back than the original. Great work by Budakid!
Emiel van den Dugen created an more forward remix, by putting the drums more up in front and combining it with a straight baseline. He used the original sounds in a minimalistic way and brings diversity on this EP.
