The first of a series within Extinct Records is Brian Cid's Dream Series release. Hot off the tails of his 3 track EP release on Hot Since 82’s label Knee Deep In Sound, Brian Cid graces us with a new wave of delectable atmospheric house vibes. Double Vision is a choice A Side with a sexy, sultry tone that really speaks to lazy summer days and perfect early night Ibiza vibes. Rotations is a more introspective piece, complex in tone and multi-layered for a great feel and the crescendo on the main breakdown has a nice feel to it. Allure is in the same headspace, with nothing being treated as over the top - the simplicity and the flow supersedes that of the archetypal white noise breakdowns that become a traditionally easy scapegoat. Moonside Riddles is a complex and intelligent piece, very much in line with the rest of the EP and has an almost whimsical air to it. Overall the release has a wonderful bite to it as well as the records compliment each other very nicely. This EP project is the first in series for Extinct Dreams, kickstarting a special series inspired in Ibiza, with its groovy, percussive, dreamy, atmospheric qualities and textures.
