For the first release of this year, Nama Recordings presents an emotional, atmospheric and engaging musical journey with their breathtaking ‘Quasar’ EP. Nama Recordings’ new resident artist, Moldovan virtuoso Michael FK, delivers a beautiful and yet soothing piece of art that reflects all that is pure in life. Together with three remarkable remixes established by new talents as well as the most celebrated artists from the entire Downtempo scene, this EP shows the rich versatility and possibilities of this specific genre. The Canadian Chillout veteran Harold-Alexis shows a stunning quasi-tribal deep take on the Original. The UK Based Soular Order have indulged us many years with his unique pieces of music and delivers a more chilled remix that combines classical elements together with breakbeat percussive drum layers. The Italian prodigy N4C is known for his controversial cross-genre works, whereby in this music piece the Trap like rhythm and drums layers forgather with awe-inspiring piano notes. This EP is set to break boundaries of the scene and each track adds their own flavor to it.

The Original Mix by the Moldovan talent quickly establishes a unique and mesmerizing soundscape. Soon thereafter the soothing male vocals develop themselves in a tranquil soundscape. With minimal drums this tracks establish it’s self in pure Chillout masterpiece that shows an uncanny yet distinctive quality.

The Harold-Alexis remix shows a more deep interpretation of the original mix, whereby rhythmic drum layers and deep synth sets the soothing character of the overall EP. The song brilliantly showcases the quality of sounds and melodies to be expected from this amazing Canadian grandmaster of Chillout.

UK based Soular Order delivers a unique piece that represents the formidable talent of this musical mastermind. His remix begins with soothing pads and string lines, as well as mysterious sound effects in the background that creates a unexpected form of calmness. A lush and deep is introduced soon thereafter, that changes the chilled nature of the track to a rougher sound which creates a mesmerizing balance of dark and light and therefore finishes the track completely.

Italy’s own rising talent, N4C, showcases his true talent in a very fascinating take of the original. The remix shows an ominous and hypnotic soundscape that is punctuated by soothing piano notes. The track quickly develops itself in a breakbeat style of piece whereby groove like basses and minimal drum layers to predominate.
