Melodymathics hits the spot with the release of brand new 'CHARLEROI DC' EP

Born as the musical love child of KiNK and Fabrice Lig, this collection of intense analog inspired tracks is hard to ignore. Each song has been cleverly remixed by electro connoisseurs Ian O’Brien, Detroit Swindle and a highlight from label boss Melodymann.

Kicking off proceedings, Netherlands duo Detroit Swindle, bring their eclectic influences merging a narcotic blend of melodic rhythm with early house music. Their remix on the EP not only showcases this but highlights their impressive combined talents. This then moves seamlessly on to the mid EP mix from UK techno disciple Ian O’Brien, bringing his trademark Detroit-esque vibes to the mix. Bringing more of an upbeat flavour is none other than Melodymathics label boss Melodymann. As a standout moment on the EP, the remix not only captures the one of the finest DJs in house music at his best but also embodies the intended overall aesthetic of the ‘CHARLEROI DC’.

With a self-proclaimed goal as a label to showcase fresh talent as well as establish artists, ‘CHARLEROI DC’ most certainly does that. The remixes display a hypnotic move away from traditional house music, instead inheriting a mix of genres ranging from techno to soul, resulting in a rare but genius ear pleaser.
