The year-end compilation, Get Up Recordings: Six is here, showcasing this past year's talent on the label. This collection consists of tracks and remixes from artists that are defining the sound of the underground club scene, including label owners, W. Jeremy and Christy Love, Eli Escobar, Tedd Patterson, Hannah Holland, Rennie Foster, SOLLORS, Jake Reif and The Carry Nation.
Get Up Recordings strives to continue "to give artists the freedom to express themselves however they choose within the dance music realm," which is the musical thread throughout the compilation, from the acid basslines on tracks like, W. Jeremy's "Overdrive" and Rennie Foster's remix of "Cutting Up", to the electronic blips of Eli Escobar's remix of "Flashback" and the hard driving JT Almon remix of "Passion".
The label has a big heart for NYC hometown heroes who shape the sound of NYC, like The Illustrious Blacks, The Carry Nation, Michael Magnan and Jake Reif. The label also reached out internationally, with tracks and remixes from Dickey Doo, Stereogamous, Hard Ton, Violet & Elles and Gina Breeze.
